What's the difference between clean and really clean?
Clean gets the dirt, grime and general debris off your car. It's a 2 stage treatment, and is the base of every clean we do.
Really Clean is when we break out the big guns and decontaminate your paint. There is tar, iron, tree sap and more that clings onto and in some cases embeds into your paint. We get rid of this, leaving your car ready for our other treatments.
Why can't we skip really clean and go straight to shiny?
Really Clean removes impurities and small embedded particles from your paint. If we go straight to shiny, those particles will be rubbed across your paint with the buffer, creating little scratches known as swirl marks.
Why do we need to seal a car after a clean?
There is nothing that says you HAVE to seal a car after it has been cleaned and/or polished. We highly recommend you do go for the seal though as it means you are keeping that clean paint protected from getting contaminated again. The seal sits on top of your paint and keeps all the road grime on top so it can be easily washed off with a maintenance wash.
Will a sealer protect from chips or scratches?
No. A sealer is a sacrificial layer against dirt and particles that can damage your paint but it cant stop a stone chip or a scratch. As well as being hydrophobic meaning the water will just bead off.
How long will the seal last?
This can depend on your usage and mileage but the general rule is to top it up every 6-12weeks during a regular maintenance wash.
